About Us

While new  to the marketing and business aspects of the leather craft trade,
my leather crafting experience has covered over 30 years of "hands-on" work, creating a variety of items for people wanting their leather goods to fit their individual tastes .

My interest in working with  leather started in the late 1970s, when I developed a desire to make a gun holster for myself... and a love for working with leather was born! As a young law  enforcement officer, I often examined and evaluated the leather gear I was issued or had purchased for myself, and looked at how  its design or function might be improved upon to better suit my needs and those of others. I started making “off-duty”/ ”plainclothes” holsters, as well as a variety of other leather items such as belts, wallets and checkbooks for those who wanted them. I was eager to please those who came to me, looking for something “special”.

Over the ensuing years, I'd made numerous holsters for professionals, as well as those who just enjoyed shooting sports. Little did I know  back  then that my love for creating things out of leather would grow  into something more than being a “hobby” leather crafter.

I began attending cowboy action shooting meets at local clubs in the mid-1990s and became a life member of the "Single Action Shootting Society" (S.A.S.S.).  It was during this time that I came to really appreciate the look of the “old west” style leather… whether it was gun belts, holsters, rifle scabbards, cuffs and spur straps… whatever there was to look at.  While I don’t participate in the cowboy shoots like I used to, I still have that love for the gear and dress of the Old Frontier and have a passion for making the gunleather reminiscent of that period in American life.
